In my senior year of high school, I developed a project for my school's math and science fair that analyzed the theoretical underpinnings of this astronomical phenowork forceon. My project was awarded a second-place ribbon. In my culture, women are supposed to be submissive and are not expected to do as well as men in math and science, yet I cave in al ways loved these subjects and done well in them. Math in particular has always been a passion of mine, and I have grown personally as a result of this passion.
My bewitchment was fueled initially by my interest in my family's business. My pay off established the Sheng Zu company in Kinmen, Taiwan, and my mother helped him develop it into Kinmen's biggest nourishment company. She gave me a positive female role model for apprehension the power and importance of math, finance, economics, and numbers in accomplishing business goals. I have clear ideas about mathematics and respond to figures in ways that are hard to describe to those who cannot hear the atrocious music of a set of numbers or a well-designed balance sheet.
When I came to the United States to study, math provided a parking area language for me that sustained me while I was mastering English. Although communicating in other ways was difficult at first, I was always able to communicate th
rough my knowledge of math. Many of my internships have been related to finance, from accounts due to working in a business development office.
I have come to see that I can support my passion for math to building my studies of business economics and, eventually, to parcel my family's business grow. Currently, the business has no international development plans and has use no real thought to the viability of exporting our products to other countries in Asia, Europe, or even the United States.
I hope to adjudge the skills and knowledge that my USC point would give me to building my family's company into a successful international business, and my fascination with math gives me the foundation for scheming and accomplishing this plan.
Einstein's Cross is a lens that allows us to see an physical object that would otherwise be invisible from where we stand. It is also an example of a theory that seems to make sense but is very difficult to prove. For me, math offers the same kind of lens and a same type of proof. Numbers help us to see and understand the way that things operate, and many of these are things that are otherwise hard to look at directly. Equations give us elegant and train methods of analyzing processes and exchanges that are not always either elegant or exact.
I was also able to meet girls from all over the world in the scouts' international jamboree. I was able to see examples of the global village firsthand and gained a real grounds of the ways in which we differ from one another and the kinds of parking area bonds we all share.
My passion for math has helped me grow as an individual. It has challenged my brain and given structure to my dreams. It has opened doors for me to new worlds and new ways of approaching my goals.
