Right through the book, Curleys wife was victimized by Steinbeck. In the book, Steinbeck didnt even give Curleys wife a name. Steinbeck just labeled her as Curleys wife which was reflection she was just an object and not as important as the guys. Also, Steinbeck described Curleys wife as an unpleasant woman, or trampy, and gave opposite guys the eye, like she was the bad guy in the story. He make the readers think that she was actually a tramp rather than a normal woman because of the way that he described her. Steinbeck make Curleys wife the object or property. Curley was also one to victimize his wife. Curley would treat her as his property and not much of a wife.

He would also make her stay in the field while everyone was out and she was the only female in the endure so she had no one to talk to or deem her company.
