In this essay I will be explaining the similarities and differences of the twain stories, Lamb to the Slaughter and vendetta. As both of the stories have been write in a different period of cartridge clip, they can be viewed differently. Lamb to the Slaughter was written during the 19th century whereas vendetta was written during the 20th century.

Both of them are widows or become one eventually during the story. They seemed to be very innocent but dour out to be very cunning. The context at this time is very calm and peaceful.
The emotions move from anger to contentment as the stories come to an end. The title is a Metaphor as Mary Maloney kills her husband with a fixed leg of lamb, She swung the big frozen leg of lamb tall in the air. The weapon they used was very odd. Marys husband, Patrick Maloney dies from the blow from the frozen lamb. He can be compared to a lamb that is going to be slaughter.
