Of the main characters in the six upstart American plays, Amanda is cognize to be very dramatic,

differences that she taught to value. Amanda is known to be tragical and nagging about manners. Amanda

the future, making what she calls plans and provisions, single-mindedly for her children. In fact, as

annoying as all the nagging about keeping ones elbows off the table is, Amanda is actually a very lovely
